"I have been blown away by the enthusiasm and passion that Tara brings into this world. Anyone who knows her would say the same and sees that her presence is infectious. She has taught me that I deserve the best out of life and by taking care of myself is of utmost importance in order for me to be the best person I can be for all those around me. I make it a priority to get facials, pedicures and manicures and yes buying lingerie! I have officially marked that on my calendar every month. It’s amazing how good that can feel! It’s the little things in life that mean so much, and Tara is that gem you find on a long stretch of a sandy beach. Thanks so much for your incredible insight into life and its pleasures. I love you." - Stacy

Rather BBQ then do business? Three Femme ways to find your summer groove.

OK so it happens to all of us, even me! You feel the summer breezes, smell the BBQ grill and the kids are out of school. What does that mean for your business?

If you are feeling the pull of the waves more then the pull of your office chair, you may want to try these Femme tricks to stay in the groove this summer.

In order to stay in the summer groove remember your FemmeTypes and add a splash of summer.

Indie
1) Plan something FUN at least once a week, if you don't then you will find your self doing things half way. We make a list of things we want to do as a family and solo as a couple, this keeps us in the summer mood. Think back to when you were a kid, what did you love to do? Incorporate that into your week so you have designated time for fun and your New Yorker will not feel resentful when it is time to work. Who do you want to be this summer? Create a new identity for yourself (remember those summers, you're not too old to have a summer fling with yourself!)

New Yorker
2) Set a summer business goal and do something "Summery" with your clients. Think about using the season to create a new package for your clients, one that you would enjoy doing with them. If you are a nutritional coach you can do a summer splurge package or if you are a business coach you can do a "How to add summer sizzle to your bank account" package. Use the momentum of the season to create something new and fresh. Your clients will love it, you will enjoy it and your can add some extra cash for summer experiences for you!

Frenchie
3) Summer is a wonderful time for the Frenchie, who does not want to feel sensual during the summer? Your Frenchie may enjoy a Brazilian! You can try a brazilian blowout, which is a new treatment for your hair that strengthens and straightens-much like the Japanese treatment but with more body. This is a great way to treat summer hair especially if you are going to be in and out of the water, you can try a easy, sexy do.
You may also want to try a brazilian wax for down there hair ;) Yes it hurts, but it is so worth it! Such a sensual way to experience the summer and if you have never done it, you should try it at least once.

Remember the best way to stay in the groove is to let summer in, incorporate the season into your FemmeTypes and you will stay in sync and your business will continue to grow.

P.S.
For more summer tips including style, fun and organization you may want to check out out our Summer Guide, it was originally created for moms but we got such an amazing response we are offering it for FREE to everyone.

Marketing Lesson from a Doctor

A couple of weeks ago during the incident with my son where we rushed him to into Urgent Care for stitches, we had an incredible experience there, and it’s something I want to share with all of you... especially those of you who are establishing a business and trying to build a lasting relationship with your customers.

In the middle of such a hectic situation the doctor was completely calm (definitely in his Indie), but what really made him stand out was what he actually did for Nico.

He got out his prescription pad and wrote down “1 Chocolate Milkshake.” He proceeded to have his nurse print out directions to Johnny Rockets, then he handed Nico a $5.00 bill with the prescription and the map and said make sure your mommy takes you as soon as we’re done. Through misty eyes my little one smiled and my heart expanded -- who do you think has a customer for life?

Customer retention is a fundamental part of any successful business. It’s something that you should never allow yourself to forget – under any circumstances... Personally, I continuously strive to make this particular aspect one of the primary aims of my business; in fact, I believe in this so highly, that I would advise anyone in business to give customer retention their highest priority.

Of course, many entrepreneurs are worried about getting new clients, which is completely understandable, but if you take amazing care of the ones you already have, NEW Clients Will Come... It’s just the nature of business.

Truly understanding this and applying it fully takes a special, patiently developed skill of combining your New Yorker and your Indie in just the right balance, as you really tune into and listen to what your clients’ needs are. At such time, you can then use your Frenchie to select, the ‘Perfect Gift.’

Share your tips on how you retain your customers in a comment.
