How to stop comparing yourself to others

Have you caught yourself comparing?
Have you ever found yourself feeling a bit inferior,
a bit (ooh dare I say jealous?).

Of course you have… We all have!

Who wants to live this way? No one really…
but let’s be honest… sometimes these feelings come up
so I want to teach you what you can do with these feelings
and how you can allow them to serve you and transform them
from jealousy and comparing into inspiration.

In the video I made in my backyard, I teach you how to use
comparing to ignite your desires.  I grabbed the lemonade
for this one as it is hot here today:)

This is what I do now when I feel that pang of jealousy: I tell that person I am happy for them, and during the process, my feelings begin to evolve, and I am then glad I lifted them up, maybe made their day.

EXCELLENT idea, Tara, and I can’t wait to use it! As I watched the video, I could feel in my body how much it’s going to help me. Thank you!!

    Hi Tara,
I have used this philosophy or a while now, if I feel that pang ‘jealousy’ I examine it and realize deep down it is a hidden desire of mine … and turn it around to feeling gratitude that this desire has been awoken.
Also … if she/ he do/achieve/have this …. why not me.
I love your idea of writing the desire down and placing it in a jar and will start doing that from today.
I love your work, thankyou Tara
    Love Kim xxxx

Kim, great start. It is an important part of the process to write it down.
I look forward to hearing how much your inspiration container supports you!;)
      Love,
      Tara

I loved this!!! Thanks for sharing!! :) I’m going to start using it today! I know it’ll work well but there’s one issue that really triggers my inferiority, my appearance. I really hate how I look so how can I turn those feelings of inferiority when I see someone who’s more beautiful, thinner, taller or whatever and I know I’ll never be? I’m sorry if I sound shallow or mean, I’ve been told by professionals that I have a distorted perception of myself so I know it’s something I have to work on, just don’t know where to turn :/ Thanks for sharing it and for your great work! xxx

*Maybe I didn’t explain myself correctly (english is not my mother language!). I meant to say: how can I turn those feelings of inferiority into inspiration when I know no matter how inspired I am I’ll never look beautiful? Should I just turn them into a desire of wanting to love myself as I am? thanks!! :)

        Oiane,
This is a great question. When we compare ourselves we think we must become like that person (in status, looks etc) and that is what pulls us from our truth. You are on the right track and the piece of you are are being called to experience is the part of you that can RECOGNIZE your own beauty. It is true, none of us will be like, look like, or have the exact thing the other does-What you are awakening is your truth to experience the desire.
        Love,
        Tara

thank you so much for taking time to answer my question Tara and for the wise words, it gave me a lot of insight :) Thanks for the great work you do and for sharing it with the rest of the world. Hugs from spain xxxx

Great exercise I am on my way to ring an inspiration container. And then I’m going to decorate it!!!!

  6. I love this video Tara! Thank you for sharing. Your energy and presence is beautiful as always.

It’s so important to not try and ignore or stuff away those feelings of jealousy when they come up. This is a perfect and very practical way to transform a yucky into a yummy! I’ll be adding an inspiration jar to my office today :-)

    Love to you, Julie

So just caught myself feeling a bit jealous… was able to switch and realized Im inspired by land and home ownership freedom. Is this my Frenchie? New Yorker? Indie? (feels like all of them) I have gathered a jar and taking the first note. Thanks for sharing your helpful specific style of pivoting. It really worked well!

Great question Amy-it truly depends on which part of you is being drawn to it. There may indeed be a piece of each FemmeType. However, I invite you to identify which one is more called-does home ownership inspire you to BE more of who you are, ENJOY more or does it feel like something you are required to DO?
